Circuito del Savio
85th edition
May 24/25, 2008
It was back on the 17th of June 1923, when for the first time racing cars and racing bikes did enter one of the most famous and spectacular racing tracks, the Savio Track: that day a certain Mr. Ferrari won the race. Today, several years after, the CLUB ROMAGNOLO AUTO E MOTO D'EPOCA (C.R.A.M.E.) and ACI of Ravenna, with the support of the municipality of Ravenna, organise a meeting to recall that historical event.
The Savio Track was the first real Italian track, where important and international competitions took place: it was defined as the "fastest road triangle in Europe", whose heart was the “Basilica of S. Apollinare in Classe”, transformed into the starting and finishing line of the competition.
It is therefore impossible to forget this event and C.R.A.M.E., consistent with the original approach, will be present at the starting line of the Basilica of S. Apollinare on May 3rd and 4th, 2003.”
